Can I demodulate a coax signal that I modulated at source using an RF Modulator?

RF
radamson asked:

I put an RF Modulator (ch.3) on the a/v signal from my entertainment center and fed coax in the wall over to the TV location. If I get a new, possibly HD TV that does not have a coax input, How can I get the signal off the modulated coax at the TV location to feed new TV component or other inputs?

Thanks in advance; and I can’t easily re-wire the wall, which I know I’ll need to do for HD.
